Danny and Joy have a personal home page which can be accessed at www.sun-thom.com.

How they met

Joy and Danny met at a common friend's birthday in an Irish bar in San Francisco. Their first date was on October 13, 2000 (Friday the 13th!!). They went out to dinner at a restaurant called Boulevard in San Francisco. They talked a lot and gradually fell in love during the dinner which lasted 3 hours.

The Engagement

Danny planned a trip to go to the island of Kauai in Hawaii with Joy on June 20, 2002. The couple stayed at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Spa. It is one of the most luxurious hotels on the island. Danny planned a secret private romantic candle-lit dinner by the beach at the Princeville Hotel. There, he proposed to Joy in a small white tent surround by flowers, candles and the world's most beautiful sunset.

The Marriage

Danny and Joy legally got married on August 7, 2002 in a small civil ceremony at the Santa Rosa City Hall. The marriage was attended by Danny's parents. The marriage was done primarily for immigration purposes.

Because our family and friends were not in attendance, we do not consider that to be our "official" wedding. We plan to have the date of May 1, 2004 to be our "official" wedding date. That is the wedding where all of you are invited.

The Honeymoon

Danny and Joy will be spending their honeymoon at the Bora Bora Lagoon Resort in the South Pacific island of Bora Bora in Tahiti. They will spend 5 nights there, from July 7 to July 13, and stay at an End-of-Pontoon over-water bungalow, which is a room that sits on top of the lagoon.
